ALTEO has significant competence in renewable energy sources and waste-based energy production. Located outside the municipality of Törökszentmiklós, 20 kilometres from Szolnok, in the heart of the Great Hungarian Plain, our Company operates a FUHRLÄNDER MD 70/77 wind turbine with a tower height of 100 m and an electrical output of 1.5 MW.
Located outside the municipality of Jánossomorja, 15 kilometres from Mosonmagyaróvár on the Little Hungarian Plain, ALTEO Group operates its VESTAS V90 wind turbine with a tower height of 105 m and an electrical output of 1.8 MW.

At the beginning of December 2017, ALTEO Group closed the deal of acquiring Domaszék 2MW Kft. to become the owner of nearly 2 megawatt photovoltaic power plants at Domaszék near Szeged.
Hydroelectric power plants
The village of Gibárt lies in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County along the Hernád River, 58 kilometres from the river mouth. Designed in 1901, built in 1902 and put into operation in 1903, a diversion-type hydropower plant can be found here.
The village of Felsődobsza lies in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County along the Hernád River, 84 kilometres from the river mouth. Built in 1906, put into operation in 1911 and reconstructed in 2012-13, a diversion-type hydroelectric power plant is located here.
ALTEO Group is operating the Nagykőrösi Biogas Plant since 1 January 2016 based on a long term O&M contract with Energigas Kft, the owner of the plant. The biogas plant uses 50,000-60,000 tonnes of agricultural and food industry waste, by-products and food that has expired.
The small power plant has a 625 kW installed electrical capacity and around 650 kW heating capacity and can sell the electricity it produces to MAVIR under the compulsory feed-in tariff system until the end of 2019.
This small power plant uses landfill gas released during the decomposition of organic waste stored in an area of the Nyíregyháza Regional Landfill Site for energy purposes. The small power plant has a 525 kW installed electrical capacity and around 600 kW heating capacity and was able to sell the electricity it produces to MAVIR under the compulsory feed-in tariff system until the end of 2016.
ALTEO concluded a long-term cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Kisújszállás for the energy recovery of waste gases associated with the municipality’s thermal spring water and implement an alternative heating solution based on that.
